China’s Army Day——August 1th
Army Day is the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It is set on August 1 every year and was established by the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.
On July 11, 1933, the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic decided to designate August 1 as the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army based on the proposal of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission on June 30. On June 15, 1949, the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission issued an order to use the two characters "August 1" as the main symbol of the flag and emblem of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, this anniversary was renamed the Army Day of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. According to the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Status and Rights Protection of Soldiers, August 1 of each year is the Army Day of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. People's governments at all levels and military units should organize celebrations and commemorations on the Army Day.
